The sanskrit word chakra translates to, “wheel”. 

The wheels of life, the wheels of our existence, the wheels that turn and allow you to move, grow, and expand to a higher state of consciousness.

Muladhara, is the sanskrit name for the root chakra that rests at the very base of your spine and is the center that drives grounding, security, and your basic needs. It is the root of all things.

The intention of the Muladhara Chakra Series is to embrace Muladhara within your own being through knowledge, movement, prayer, journal prompts, ancestral connection, food and shared experiences with community.

Together let’s break down the many elements of the Muladhara chakra and tap into this energy within our own physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

We’ll journey through deep reflection and discussion as a group via Zoom. First exploring the basic information about this chakra: Location, Element, Color, Development, Foods, Signs, Meaning/Energy. (January 9th at 11am MST)

Followed by examining the key indicators of a balanced/imbalanced root chakra. Exploring how these balances/imbalances show up within ourselves or those around us and what we can seek to do to find our center. (January 16th at 11am MST)

From here we will dive even deeper into how we can embody and heal this chakra within our own being through breath, movement, sound, and release. (January 16th at 11am MST)

On January 30th at 6pm we’ll come together with all of this shared knowledge in person @ Biophilia Space to review what we’ve discussed via Zoom, practice a root chakra balancing yoga sequence, embrace final reflections and enjoy nourishing foods that correlate to the root chakra.
